Position
As a Supply Chain Manager, you ensure that products are always delivered to the customer on time by actively placing and managing purchase orders from suppliers, aligned with their production planning. You directly convert market demand into purchase orders and work closely with external parties such as Contract Manufacturing Organizations (CMOs). Your primary responsibility is to guarantee timely deliveries, which is crucial for customer satisfaction. You regularly coordinate and adjust capacity with external suppliers, directly place purchase orders, and closely follow up on deliveries and adjust volumes as needed. Additionally, you ensure efficient inventory management according to the FIFO and FEFO principles, preventing waste. You are responsible for monitoring performance through Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and regularly reporting them. You also actively participate in monthly Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) meetings with CMOs, optimizing planning and identifying potential risks in time. In this role, you are the key link between internal stakeholders and external suppliers, focusing on the hands-on management of a smooth and efficient supply chain that aligns with customer expectations. In short, as a Supply Chain Specialist, you are the driving force behind an efficient and reliable supply chain, where your proactive approach and keen insight directly contribute to the success of the company!
Profile
- at least bachelor’s degree (hbo) level of thinking and working
- 5+ years of experience within the pharmaceutical industry is a must
- several years of work experience in planning and/or procurement roles
- familiar with GMP and GDP
- experience with internationally operating companies and a diverse client base
- experience with APICS, NEVI, Lean Six Sigma basics, and ERP systems is a plus
- accurate, stress-resistant, quick, and flexible
- strong communication skills in preferably both Dutch and English
