Position
As a Procurement Contractor you will lead strategic sourcing activities in logistics, warehousing, and distribution across the EMEA region. This role involves managing end-to-end sourcing processes, including RFI, RFP, e-sourcing, supplier onboarding, due diligence, negotiations, and contracting. You will oversee procurement projects in the UK, the Netherlands, and other EMEA locations, ensuring alignment with business needs and strategic goals.
As the primary point of contact for stakeholders, you will proactively engage with business partners to understand their short- and longterm objectives. This includes conducting project progress meetings, monitoring supplier performance, and driving process improvements while maintaining compliance with company policies and regulations. You will also be responsible for gathering market intelligence and data analysis to inform sourcing strategies and identify opportunities for cost savings and operational efficiency.
This role requires collaboration with global and regional category teams to ensure adherence to procurement processes and the successful execution of cost containment and reduction targets. Additionally, you will actively contribute to achieving the organisation’s supplier diversity and sustainability goals by fostering innovative approaches to sourcing and supplier management.
Profile
- bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or Logistics (or equivalent) with at least 7 years of experience in a local or regional procurement role, preferably in the Netherlands
- proven experience in procurement within logistics categories
- strong command of English (written and verbal)
- excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- strong project management abilities with the capability to manage stakeholder expectations
- self-starter with the ability to multitask and adapt to dynamic environments
- proven success in developing and implementing sourcing strategies
